Jaafar, a PETRONAS Talent Programme driver, will be making his third appearance in the Formula 3 Macau race and running with PETRONAS TEAM TOM’s for the first time.  The 19-year-old Malaysian says of confirming the news, “I’m really pleased to be racing with TOM’S, a team which is renowned for strong performances at this Asian street circuit. It is a well-established team and with sponsorship from PETRONAS, there is a natural synergy for me to be racing with them.”

Koumi from TOM’s, adds, “We look forward to welcoming Jazeman into our Macau team and having a competitive race weekend in Macau next month. Jazeman has had an exceptionally strong season in British F3 this year and I’m sure he will continue to show his potential when he joins us at the Macau Grand Prix. “

Jaafar’s TOM’s team mate for the SJM Formula 3 Grand Prix will be Yuichi Nakayama, runner-up in the Japanese F3 championship. The field of 30 drivers includes the newly-crowned British, German and Japanese champions, and last year’s Macau winner, Daniel Juncadella of Spain.
